Ella Davies Photography is a gallery of our natural world. Where I share breathtaking photographs of nature and wildlife, focusing on our inspiring environment in its natural form.

My journey with photography began on Christmas Day when I received my first camera. This bright pink kids camera marked the start of a lifelong passion. Being able to explore the unlimited possibilities of photography, experimenting with nature and wildlife to portraits and architecture, meant the camera rarely left my hands. Overtime I outgrew the camera, but my fascination with taking photos grew stronger.

The photographer is stood off-centre taking a photo of something off camera. She stands in front of a lake in Coniston, with trees covering a hill along the background. Hair up and a black coat on, she's adjusting the zoom on her Canon Camera.
The photographer walks along a path between green fields, facing away from the lens with a camera bag on one shoulder and their camera on another. Mountain peaks, a hill of trees and houses cover the background in the far distance.

Restless on the beach, I decided to shoot the waves rolling onto the coast. They were calm as they gently crashed on shore. With the sun in my eyes I couldn’t see what I took, so I rushed to view the images and was taken back by the result. An overlooked, everyday occurrence was suddenly highlighted in detail I’d never seen before. Through my phone I was able to capture a moment of pure beauty in nature.

While my love for photography blossomed at the age of 7, my connection to nature and wildlife followed later. A cold summers day in 2016 on a trip to Brighton started it all.

This experience pulled me towards nature and wildlife. I became absorbed in what I captured, and had the urge to share it with everyone. Watching as people analysed the unseen appeal, it became more than a photo. This put me on the path to photographing our environment, in a raw and untouched state, accentuating its magnificence.

The photographer stands off to the side, eyes closed, smiling at the lens, with their camera in hand and its strap around their wrist. The background is filled with green fields, houses and trees, and part of a peak in the Lake District.

The ability to share my photographs on a larger scale, brings me a deep sense of purpose. Speaking out for nature and wildlife through images that grab you, where you’re left thinking about it hours later, is what drives me. My mission is dedicated to photographing common ecosystems that are under-appreciated and unloved, to unimaginable hidden wonders. Proving that every part of the world holds unique brilliance.

Wrapped up in a yellow scarf and black coat, the photographer takes a photo with their camera in hand. Brown autumn leaves and thin tree trunks cover the background.
Standing on top of Devil's Dyke towards the right, the photographer smiles with hills and a view over Sussex in the background. The horizon is yellow blending into orange as the sun sets over the hills.
The photographer stands in the centre, covering their face with their camera pointed towards the screen. The background is blurry and plain.

Drawing out the beauty of nature and wildlife allows me to present the help it needs in trying to survive this damaging environment. Whether you’re viewing my portfolio or browsing available prints, each photograph is more than it seems. Every blossom and every species contains its own story that I intend on showing. Through unfiltered authenticity, Ella Davies Photography proudly strives to raise awareness and deliver an accurate representation of the world.

What began as a fun hobby, quickly grew into deep devotion for nature and wildlife photography.
